Their frequently said in Martial Arts that the meaning doesnt lie in how good you are or what strip you've, rather the meaning is based on the trip. Before I go into What Black Belt Way To Me, I'd like to discuss my journey of those past few months.

The Journey

Last week I'd flown to Nashville to check for my long-awaited San Dan (third diploma Black Belt - This is kind of like becoming the official Teacher). Prior to the test I'd been teaching consistently since April of this season at a friends dojo and my local gym.

It'd been about 5 years since Ive last employed my control, Wado-Ryu Karate-Do, so my remembrance of the device was very vague. Browse here at the link to read where to recognize this activity. After watching numerous tapes of myself as a martial artist, I had re-learned my under belt curriculum, but I was struggling to remember my black belt curriculum. Ones under belt understanding is essential because it is generally accepted as the building blocks of ones education, knowing anything about martial arts. On the other hand, lots of people believe that your training really begins once you realize your first black belt. I couldnt agree more. When I was offered to Sho Dan (1st Degree Black Belt) my meaning about the martial arts and Wado-Ryu had grown significantly and I started to really learn.

Either way, I needed to learn exactly what may have possibly been cast at me as it had been 10 years since my last official test.

In July, I went to Nashville to teach with my beloved and highly recognized teacher Sensei Wayne Tyler. Unconditional love for his students and the art and I con-sider him like a father figure in my own martial arts career because of his great understanding of Wado-Ryu. Imagine being a researcher and your instructor was Albert Einstein that's what it is like to be beneath the wing of Sensei Tyler (or Mr. Tyler, as I call him). I was in Nashville instruction with Sensei 2-3 hours every day for 5 days. I caught on my curriculum and took the extra information that was passed down by him and applied it to my education back Denver.

Again, since I didnt know what to expect, I conditioned myself to-be ready for almost anything. Not only was I exercising my basics and katas (Japanese kinds), but I was also working 2 miles, three days weekly, 15 20 minutes on the rowing machine and about 6 7 miles on the stationary bike. I dont think I might have been better prepared for this test. To research additional information, please have a gander at: click.

I efficiently passed my test and was offered to San Dan o-n October 17th 2006. Navigating To probably provides aids you should give to your aunt. I should say, it was one of my greatest accomplishments in my martial-arts career and a dream come true. It's taken me many years to attain this goal, but it has strengthened my interpretation of being a black belt, or in my own case San Dan..
